Our Nursery, Froglets, welcomes children from the age of three and provides a caring and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and exploration.

We would love to show you around our setting so please do pop in or give us a call to arrange a tour.

Children can now start Froglets as soon as they turn 3. If you are eligible for 2-year old funding or wish to pay for sessions before you are eligible for 3-year old funding, please contact the school office who will be happy to help and talk through availability and funding options.

The nursery session consists of a range of play-based activities, both inside and outside. The nursery day consists of a wide range of planned and purposeful play-based activities, designed to stimulate children’s imaginations and curiosity.

In-between these activities we have short focused carpet sessions and small group work where we teach specific concepts for example counting objects accurately or listening for rhyming words.

The emphasis is on developing talk, independence and play and of course – having lots of fun!

Our morning session runs from 9-12 & our afternoon session from 12-3pm. Children can also access breakfast club, and / or after school club from 7.30am – 6pm. Funded hours can also be used for wrap around care.

If your child chooses to stay all day, then they will have their lunch at school. You will need to provide your child with either a packed lunch or a school dinner. School dinners can be paid for via ParentPay and are priced at £2.65 each.

The nursery children will wear school uniform as follows:

• Royal blue sweatshirt with a special Froglets logo.
• Dark coloured leggings or joggers.
• Comfortable shoes or trainers.
• A waterproof coat.
• We will provide a bookbag for you when you start with us.

We also have a selection of second-hand uniform that is available for purchase or you can buy new jumpers / cardigans online from Proserve.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our St. Michael’s family – please come and visit us soon 😊
