Governors
The school’s Governing body is an extremely conscientious and hard working group of people and their number one priority is to ensure the continued improvement of our pupil’s educational attainment and standards throughout the United Schools Federation.
A governor has the responsibility of being a critical friend to the school and an important link for parents. All our Governors are from within the local community and they undertake various roles that directly affect the education and well being of our students.
Each governor is linked to a specific area of school life. These include curriculum subjects, student welfare and the recruitment of highly skilled professionals. They visit the school on a regular basis in order to meet these responsibilities. They also accompany staff on residential and day trips, as well as being invited into lessons, assemblies and other key activities.
The governing body meets twice a term and there are various committees which meet on a regular basis and report back to the full governing body.
The role of the School Governor is an integral part of school life. As a governor body we look to encourage local, national and international links to the wider community. Working with such a wonderfully committed team of staff helps make our school a continuing success story.
